Walk Through
With her Large Bridgedeck open cockpit, this is the center of action on the MC 41. Trampolines forward with catwalk on centerline for secure footing when working at the bow.
Generous seating aft to port and starboard, and dinette forward which converts to a queen berth for alfresco sleeping under the screened in salon, or within the confines of the isinglass full enclosure. All cockpit bench seating doubles as storage space below.
Two "mate" seats, one to port and the other to starboard and large centrally located helm with large double seat and full controls/instrumentation.
Yachts twice this size cannot boast a cockpit and entertainment area of this size. Well appointed with overhead lights on dimmer switch and courtesy lights at the foot well throughout the cockpit.
To port is a well appointed galley with propane oven and stove, refrigerator and huge freezer. Outboard is a double sink with H/C pressure water. Tremendous storage throughout. Microwave oven included. Forward is large queen size berth, full head and composting toilet with integral shower forward and additional private cabin with large single berth forward.
Starboard hull is the owner's suite and has large head with composting toilet system aft with walk-in separate full shower aft. Amidships is seating area, cabinet storage with large queen size owner's berth. Forward is Navigation area/desk with wood shelving. Fully forward is a private large, single berth that converts to an aft facing seat.
Total sleeping accommodations for 8.
The Maine Cat 41 is the only 41-foot production-built cruising catamaran in the world that provides outstanding sailing and motoring performance, huge payload capacity (7200 pounds) and a unique open bridgedeck design that transforms the entire bridgedeck area into a protected pilothouse. The unique open bridgedeck design is simply a better solution than the typical "floating condo" cat bridgedeck cabin arrangement, and provides superior visibility from the helm with exceptional ventilation throughout the main salon platform.
Headroom throughout; 6'8" minimum.

The design:
"My first goal was to make the 41 a good sailboat. The average 40-footer on the market today has hulls with the length-to-beam ratios that are about 8:1. Our ratio is 10.5:1. Because she's finer, she has reduced wetted surface and is thus more easily driven."
Maine Cat boats have no liners or structural grids. There's no wood in them, not in bulkheads or decks. The only wood is in the doors and interior trim. All assemblies are vaccum-bagged Corecell composites. According to Vermeulen, a Maine Cat 41 equipped to cruise weights 14,000 pounds, which allows for a realistic cruisng payload before it reaches its design displacement of 19,200 pounds.
